St Austell Light & Life launched in 2009. We are a vibrant, family church looking to take steps of faith in obedience to God.
Some of those key steps have been:
- The launch of the St Austell Foodbank in 2010
- Planting churches in Liskeard, Bodmin and Bristol
As we continue to be obedient to God we have the joy of seeing Him at work through us as people are saved and the church grows.
Structure & Vision
Our vision is to see God's love transform lives as we follow Him.
As part of this our heart is to reach out to the community with the love of God in both practical ways and through sharing about Jesus.
To disciple and encourage those within the church for real life change - to understand not only that God wants to work in their lives but that He has a purpose for every single one of us to bring His transforming love to others.
To enable this we look to raise up and release leaders.
St Austell, Cornwall
The church average attendance is 130 people on a Sunday morning. Approximately 40 of these are under 18 years old. We have a small youth group of around 8 and a thriving group of children.
In addition to groups for all ages on a Sunday morning we have a mid-week youth group that is discipleship focused. We also have regular mid-week groups for adults along with specific courses such as Freedom in Christ.
As we look to engage with our community we operate the Foodbank which is open 4 days per week, host regular Alpha courses, put on community fun days and events and engage with community needs through litter picks, gardening etc.
We also have a team of evangelists who meet together for encouragement and regularly go into the town centre to talk and pray with people.
