Ministry Partner Terms & Conditions

Background

South West Youth Ministries (“SWYM”) works with churches and Christian organisations (“Ministry Partner”) to provide training placements for students who are part of SWYM. These terms and conditions, together with the Ministry Partner Handbook and Fee Sheet set out the contract between SWYM and the Ministry Partner.

 

These terms and conditions shall apply from the time that a student is placed with a Ministry Partner, until the placement is terminated.

 

Ministry Partner’s Obligations

Ministry Partner Handbook

The Ministry Partner agrees to comply with the expectations laid out within the Ministry Partner Handbook, as amended from time to time.

 

Fees

The MinistryPartner agrees to pay the Ministry Partner Fee to SWYM for each year that this agreement continues. These fees will be invoiced each year by SWYM in two instalments.

 

Area Coordinator

The MinistryPartner agrees to liaise with the relevant Area Co-ordinator of SWYM about the Student’s progress and will permit the Area Co-ordinator to attend the regular review meetings referred to in the Student-Placement Agreement.

 

Student Placement Agreement

The MinistryPartner agrees to adopt and require the Student to adhere to the working procedures set out in the Student-Placement Agreement.

 

Training

The MinistryPartner agrees that the line manager and mentor will attend the annual Ministry Partner training each year.

 

Safeguarding

The Ministry Partner agrees to ensure that the student has an Enhanced Worker’s DBS which should be kept up to date on the updating service.

 

SWYM’s Obligations

  • SWYM will comply with the expectations laid out within the Ministry Partner Handbook, as amended from time to time.
  • SWYM will work with Moorlands College who will provide the Student with training.
  • SWYM agrees to inform the Partner in the event that the Student ceases to be enrolled on the Course.

 

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement on one week’s notice if the other is in breach of their obligations under this agreement. Otherwise either party may terminate this agreement giving at least 3 months’ notice.
