Description
To make Jesus known through strategic community engagement, working with existing ministries of the church and pioneering new initiatives including amongst families and teenagers.
- Developing outreach to families in the parish through new and existing initiatives
- Supporting a fresh expression Pavilion Church and youth ministry Flipside in developing community and evangelistic potential
- Supporting existing cafes and toddler groups CrossBarr, Communi-tea, MiniMarks, Marks Magpies building links
- Identify opportunities for members of the church community to take a more active role in neighbourhood activities and assist them to do so.
- Spending time in the community building links with non-church people
- Work in partnership with the minister to identify new opportunities for raising faith awareness and nurturing faith in the neighbourhood.
- Take a lead in organising social and worship activities that enable local residents to find a way into and build a relationship with the church.
- Assist with the creation and production of publicity and other material to promote the life and work of the church.
- Attending St Mark’s Church on Sundays and supporting the work of St Andrew's Church as time and opportunities allow.
Essential Criteria
- There is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a committed Christian.
