Restore Church Plymouth are thrilled to offer a wonderful opportunity to an individual who is passionate about seeing a generation on fire for Jesus.
We are looking for an individual who is willing to learn but also has an entrepreneur spirit with a passion for building something new.
Our desire is that successful candidate will have some previous experience working with young people.
Restore Church is a vibrant Assemblies of God Church based in the heart of Plymouth with a passion to Rebuild the individual, Restore Community and Renew a city.
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with young people (11-18 of age).
- A knowledge of the bible.
- Communication skills within multiple environments but mainly working alongside 11-18 years of age.
- An understanding of safeguarding and awareness of safeguarding procedures (further training will be given).
- Has the ability to follow a confidentiality policy
- Reliable
- Ability to work within team
- Ability to work under pressure at times
- I.T. skilled
Preferred Criteria
- Can work alone
- Organisational skills
- Has the ability to lead projects and teams
- Has a pastoral gift
- Experience using Church suite
- Previous experience leading volunteers
Accommodation Details
The successful candidate will be placed with a host family within the church family.
Week Overview
To assist you in knowing what you will be involved in please see below some areas which we would like you to focus on. (Please understand this is just a guide which can be change and amended if necessary)
Job Remit Frequency To be an active member of the Church staff team. Weekly To assist and lead Youth Hangouts within the life of the church. Currently monthly Assisting to create further youth strategies and youth connections for the church. Weekly Making connection to local schools and looking to create school’s clubs. Weekly Running a youth life group. Monthly Making community connections and partnerships. Weekly Assisting to help run a weekly tot’s group. Weekly Running a Sunday youth class once- twice a month. Monthly Helping to assist and run a young leader’s program for youth. Weekly Assisting the church leadership in any other areas they may need help with from time to time. When required Line management Meeting Monthly Mentor meeting Bi weekly- Monthly
