Description

1. Outreach to the City

Support and help the Highgrove youth team to:

  1. Deliver any WCF schools related work.
  2. Create spaces and events which help unchurched young people explore faith and connect with the church family.
  3. Build relationships with and work alongside other youth organisations serving the city.

Develop & Deliver Youth Programmes

Together with the Youth Director and Highgrove youth team:

  1. Help deliver the discipleships programmes and special events for Highgrove youth.
  2. Deliver Sunday youth provision with a biblical curriculum at Highgrove.
  3. Support WCF cross- congregational youth events, weekend’s away, camps and mission trips.
  4. Ensure good communications with young people, parent/carers and other practitioners.
  5. Work closely with the safeguarding team to ensure our youth provision is safe.

Youth Discipleship & Development

Together with the Youth Director and Youth Teams help to:

  1. Create safe places, where young people belong and feel connected.
  2. Be involved with Highgrove discipleship small groups and mentoring provision.
  3. Support the identification and development of young people’s gifts.

Champion & Grow Youth Ministry

At Highgrove Church help the congregational team and youth director to:

  1. Support cross-congregational youth ministry opportunities and connections, including being part of WCF Youth Team meetings.
  2. Support the team of youth volunteers

  • Teachable and humble - with a willingness to learn and take on feedback
  • Forward planning and able to manage time efficiently.
  • Able to relate to all ages/backgrounds.
  • Ability to share your faith effectively.
  • Good biblical knowledge and the ability to teach.

Preferred Criteria

 

  • Good upfront communication skills i.e. public speaking & preaching
  • Relevant qualifications e.g. youth work, first aid.
  • Good administrative and IT skills.
  • Own transport and full UK driving licence.

Accommodation Details

Accommodation will be in a Church community house of with a host family.
