Key duties

Helping to plan, lead and help organise a varied programme for primary and secondary children on a Sunday morning and in small groups throughout the week, both at Oceans and in the local schools

Teaching and explaining the Christian faith in an innovative and relevant way

Helping provide pastoral care and support for the young people and children and their families

Essential Criteria

Christian for several years

Have been committed to a local church for a good period of time

Good reference from existing pastor/leadership team

A desire to learn to serve


Full UK Driving license

Preferred Criteria

Enjoy the outdoors and ocean

Computer literate

Week Overview

Monday – SWYM meetings and study

Tuesday – our team meeting and lunch clubs

Wednesday – mums and tots and preparation

Thursday – free time in morning and afterschool clubs’/ youth discipleship

Friday – free time and preparation and youth club

Saturday – day off

Sunday – church and free


However, this is a work in progress and we would be flexible to support the needs of the youth worker and town. During half-term holidays, programmes cease and therefore there would be a break. However, we would look to do a holiday club once a year during holidays
