Job/Placement Description

This is an opportunity to come and work alongside our existing youth volunteer team, and wider staff team, as we seek to continue growing as a church: in our love for God, our love for one another and our love for those beyond our walls

The specific responsibilities that will be given to the person fulfilling this role, will depend on the skills and gifting of the person joining our team. This isn’t about squeezing someone into a set role, but encouraging, developing, training and helping the role holder, the team and the youth ministry  all to thrive.

What we are after is someone who loves Jesus, loves youth, loves team and wants to learn.

What we are offering is a church community and staff team that will love them, encourage them, stretch them, give them space to learn, allow them to make mistakes and grow – and also have some fun along the way!

What we are after is someone who loves Jesus, loves youth, loves team and wants to learn.

We will shape the role around the skills that the applicant brings, we will also seek to invest in the gifts that the applicant might wish to develop. So if the applicant brings a lot of organisational skills, we will invest into that, if they bring teaching skills, we will invest into that, if they bring musical skills, we will invest into that!

The present plan is to place the person with a church family– specific details will be worked out once we know the person joining us.

Presently, our volunteer youth team invest in our youth on Sunday mornings and on a Thursday evening. The role will develop based on any new things that get started between now and September, and also any gifts, skills and passions the applicant might bring to the mix! There are also other ministries that happen in and around the church which might be of interest to the applicant to get involved in, help youth to get involved in, or just gain experience in.
