City Life Church

Baptist Church established in Truro 1789. We are a diverse and lively church family.

Our Vision for Youth, and Children at City Life Church is that every young person and child has the possibility to hear, respond and personally experience and grow in the Gospel.    It is our desire that City Life Church provides an environment for young people and children to be nurtured in their spirituality, to grow through personal faith and be released into their God-given potential.

City Life Church is led by a team of paid roles: full time minister, an assistant pastor, a pastoral assistant, a youth worker, two part time administrators, three part time toddlers and families workers. We have a large team of volunteers including three elders and five trustees.

This SWYM Trainee role is predominantly Youth focused.  On occasions, there will be involvement in Children’s and Families Ministry. At City Life Church Youth and Children’s ministry overlap through a variety of discipleship programmes and gatherings.  This role will contribute towards building relationships across the age range, especially at primary/secondary transition.

The church is in central Truro. Some of the ministry takes place in the local community.

We have employed a youth worker for many years. We have two youth groups Youth AM age 11-13 and Youth PM 14+

We run a mixture of Sunday morning, Sunday evening sessions plus residential and social events. There is also a group linking primary to secondary transition.
