Croyde Baptist Church

This is a new project. As a church we have a history of good work amongst children and youth and have recently seen some growth amongst post-school young adults. However we have identified a ministry gap, primarily amongst our older youth, Year 10 to 13, this coming year which we want to close.

We recognise the importance of relationships in maintaining and developing faith amongst young people, so we want to create a sense of tribe amongst our youth through regular contact on Sundays and during the week. This contact will include a mix of social and spiritual input and will spill over into presence at school or college.

We are based in Croyde on the North Devon Coast which is a beautiful place to live and which is hugely popular for all kinds of outdoor pursuits, especially water sports. It is largely rural, made up of small towns and villages. Our nearest town is Braunton.

The church has a monthly programme of children and youth ministry and outreach. We have an 'All-In' all age service, kids church / youth group twice a month and Messy Church. Our youth ministry includes a separate gathering every couple of weeks and is joint with the Anglican Parish.
