Week Overview
This will depend on your interests and the opportunities that we create together.
Currently there are weekly groups that you can join to help with, including toddler groups and kids groups on Sundays but we would love to see other regular children’s and youth work happening too with your help.
Other kids activities do run less often such as Messy Church, Forest Praise and play sessions in the holidays. We have connections with local families and young people but would really like to kickstart some new youth work in the circuit and its communities. This may involve working from our churches or in the communities around us (schools, centres, detached). When you start we will work together on a plan and include you in the decision making.
Staff team meetings happen in every two weeks and you will be working with staff members on the other days you work. Mentoring and support will be provided.
An example week would be:
Mondays: Study Day
Tuesdays: Butterflies Toddler Group and Tea & Toast (After school activity), both at Easton Church on Portland
Wednesdays: Prep time and possible schools work on Portland
Thursdays: Possible schools work in the afternoon/Prep, after school club and youth club at the Westham Centre
Fridays: morning at Wigglers Toddler Group at the Westham Centre, afternoon off
Saturdays: Day Off
Sundays: Kids Groups at Easton Church on Portland or Kids Work at Thrive Cafe Church in Westham Centre.
