Description
We are excited to be looking to appoint a Children's, Youth and Families Intern who is as passionate about God—and about children and young people growing in their relationship with Him—as we are.
The primary purpose of this role is for you to experience all aspects of children’s and youth ministry as part of our church staff team, while having opportunities to grow in responsibility and leadership. No previous experience is required—just a genuine passion for God and a heart to share His love with others.
St Andrew’s Church, Cullompton, has the strapline “Revealing the heart of Jesus in the heart of our community”, and we are seeking someone who shares that same passion.
You will join a wider church staff team of six paid workers, alongside many committed volunteers across a range of ministries, all passionate about Jesus and serving our community. As part of this role, you will participate fully in St Andrew’s children’s and youth ministry, working closely with our Children, Youth and Families Pastor and our Children’s and Families Worker. This includes involvement in:
-
Toddlers
-
Youth Hub
-
Friday Night Youth
-
Sunday morning children’s and youth groups
-
School Pastors
-
Primary school assemblies
-
Two annual residential trips (Youth Weekend and SPREE)
-
Holiday Club
-
And more
Alongside ministry involvement, you will have dedicated time for your course studies, as well as opportunities for additional training and input. You will also be encouraged to put into practice skills learned through your studies and to develop ideas that make a real difference in our community.
There may also be an opportunity to include a worship element within this role, should you have the skills and passion to explore this. Along with taking art in the other ministries run by the church, providing a whole-church ministry experience.
We are able to host you within one of our church families’ homes and walk alongside you during this chapter of your journey. As you grow in confidence and experience, your responsibilities will also grow—at a comfortable pace and agreed upon together.
