Description
If you desire to see young people meet Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him, then you might be the perfect person to join our team while you undertake your training with SWYM.
Our youth ministry is all about creating a movement of disciple making disciples in Corsham and around the world. We seek to do this by introducing children & young people to Jesus, building them up in Jesus & sending them out for Jesus.
We would love to take on a trainee to help develop our ministry to young people, working alongside the youth pastor Dan.
The role itself can be tailored to the needs, gifting and heart of the trainee. The role would provide a breadth of opportunity to work in a number of ministry settings – schools, community & church.
We can also adapt the role with a focus on children's ministry too, if preferred.
We are a Baptist church in a small town in Wiltshire, about 15 minutes from the city of Bath.

- Active personal Christian faith
- Cares for young people
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Reliable & Teachable
- Ability to drive
Preferred Criteria
- Ability to use initiative & take responsibility
- Ability to manage own time & workload

Week Overview
This is flexible based on what would most benefit you as the trainee. There will be opportunities to get involved in as many aspects of church life as you wish, but these can be explored together once we get to know you.

This list is only an example. We want to be flexible enough to tailor your hours to what is helpful to you. We also run events not included above, such as youth services, retreats & summer camp etc.
Should you wish to explore opportunities in children's work, we also run children’s outreach & holiday clubs, toddlers Group & various other children’s groups, and so we could accommodate this for you.
We fully recognise that there is more ministry opportunities available than you would be expected or hope to be involved in.
