Description

We are a creative team who seek to share the Story of Jesus through worship, music, media, dance, art, photography, running creative academies, and a variety of events, gigs, trips and more. We develop resources for the local church which includes equipping others with creative arts skills, developing worshippers, discipling young people, and schools’ outreach.

We are looking for people who have a desire and a passion to serve and creatively share the Story of Jesus with people of all ages using their unique gifts and skills. This includes working with our different youth groups, serving at our Sunday service, running creative academies, facilitating our live stream, releasing art in various forms, and resourcing various events nationwide.

This is an amazing opportunity to be personally transformed while serving the church and growing in leadership. Though you will have a specific focus, being a part of a larger team involves serving our youth and children’s groups, outreach events and creative projects.

Essential Criteria

The candidate must:

  • Be a Christian
  • Have a heart to serve
  • Have a heart for young people, to see them reach their full potential and become the person that God has made them to be
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be self-motivated and a proactive team player
  • Have some experience of volunteering in a local church context
  • Manage your time well and be organised

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Some experience in your chosen focus area
  • Be enthusiastic, creative and hardworking
  • Have creative gifting in music, art, dance, web design, media, or sound technology

Week Overview

As a trainee media intern, you will be involved in some of the following areas:

  • Managing large-scale media projects throughout the year such as: spoken words, music videos, pre-recorded Sunday services, and our Christmas nativity project
  • Scripting, filming, and editing our weekly children’s videos
  • Creating social media content for our church
  • Serving at our Sunday morning gatherings and facilitating our live stream
  • Serving on Media team at events throughout the year
  • Schools work – delivering media-specific programmes in secondary schools to empower young people
  • Youth and Children’s groups throughout the week
  • Mentoring young people
