Description
The Trainee Youth Intern role is a collaborative placement between Falmouth Light & Life Church, a local church rooted in community and discipleship in Falmouth, and Breakout Ministries, a national Christian charity serving churches across the UK through American sports camps and youth ministry development. This partnership is designed to give the trainee a wide and well‑rounded training experience across both local church‑based ministry and national outreach, while being based in Falmouth. The trainee will be involved in midweek youth groups, church kids and youth work, discipleship through table and formation groups, chaplaincy in a local secondary school, and the wider rhythm of church life including team meetings and planning. Alongside this, they will help plan, prepare and serve on Breakout Ministries sports camps—some of which can last up to a full week—gaining hands‑on experience in evangelistic outreach, leadership, and mission with churches nationwide. The role also includes formal SWYM training, providing theological input, supervision, and reflective practice alongside practical ministry experience, equipping the trainee for long‑term youth and mission leadership.
