Description

To support the work of the Sunday school; joining the team, helping the Sunday School teachers to run sessions, building up to leading a Sunday morning session in due course.
Joining the Beach Club and youth club teams (Friday night); supporting the leaders, helping with planning, and delivering sections of these clubs in due course.
Supporting John-Mark with creating and delivering primary school assemblies. Potentially delivering assemblies on their own in due course.
Possibly running, or working with John-Mark or somebody else, to run an after-school club.
If the candidate is musical, to help John-Mark in working with children/teens with music and instruments.
To consider starting a work (with support) with children in the playground after school weekly to build relationships with children and parents.

Essential Criteria

Support Sunday School - helping with the preparation and running of it

Supporting with creating and delivering school assemblies

Helping with planning and running the Beach and youth clubs term-time.

Preferred Criteria

Perhaps an after-school club and/or prayer space within one or both primary schools.

Helping John-Mark to establish a music ministry - teaching instruments and possibly worship depending on the children/teens

 

Accommodation Details

Possibility that they could have a room in a church member's house (depending on gender etc.)

Week Overview

Mondays - SWYM team training

Tuesdays - possible help in primary school

Wednesdays - Pebbles toddler group, assemblies, music club?

Thursdays -

Friday - Beach club (5.30pm), and Youth club (7pm).

Sundays - help with Sunday school, and participation in morning service?

Only registered members can apply for placements.
