Description
To work with the existing young people (10-18's) connected to St Mary's church, helping create opportunities for them to hear about Jesus and to grow in faith. Also to serve young people in secondary schools across the city, as a volunteer (one day per month) with local charity Encounter Christianity, who offer high quality RE Workshops to schools and immersive Trails.
Essential Criteria
Christian faith
Desire to work with young people.
Humility, integrity and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Willing to ask for help and accept feedback.
Desire to see young people come to know Jesus and grow in their faith as disciples.
Preferred Criteria
Experience of being involved (e.g. as a young leader) with youth and children's activities.
Creative or sporting skills and experience (e.g. musical, drama, sports coaching etc).
Accommodation Details
Not yet finalised, but likely to be within a family home, probably with the trainee having access to their own kitchen facilities and a food budget.
