Description

Lee Abbey Devon welcomes people and serves churches with the vision of people encountering Jesus Christ so that lives, relationships, communities and environment are transformed. It is run by a Christian community from many nations. Being in Community is about living, working, serving and worshipping closely together, being open to being known for who we are. It’s one of the most profound and wonderful discipleship spaces that God uses to shape us.

As part of our Youth & Children’s Team we are looking for people who have a heart and passion for young people. You will learn to deliver gospel centred sessions that connect with young people on a heart level and point to Jesus. We deliver activities and youth sessions to the young people who come to Lee Abbey.

As part of our Worship Team you’ll be working closely with our worship leader to deliver worship times for the Lee Abbey community and for the guests who come to Lee Abbey. You will receive teaching for skill development and cultivation of a worshipful heart posture. You will assist with the worship leading to gain experience and then be released into leading worship. We run eight sets of worship a week for a variety of demographics which makes Lee Abbey a great place to gain experience and learn to serve consistently while maintaining an expectation of each set leading to a potentially life-transforming encounter with Jesus.

Being on Lee Abbey Community means that we all serve the whole vision of this place. That means that flexibility and a willingness to jump into gaps and teams when we have availability is an expected part of life here.
