Are you wondering if God might be calling you to youth or children’s ministry? Do you want to grow in your walk with Jesus, and have the opportunity to share your faith with others? If so, join us for an Open Day to find out more about SWYM.
Our Open Days are a great way to get a taste of what it’s like to be part of the SWYM family. You’ll join in with our worship times and attend teaching sessions throughout the day. You’ll also learn more about SWYM and have the chance to ask questions to staff and students.
How it Works
- Tell us you’re coming. Book your Open Day place by clicking on an upcoming event below. (If you’re ready, apply first so we can line up an informal interview while you’re with us; if not, you’re still welcome to come and look!).
- Come and experience SWYM. Join us for 24 hours with the SWYM Community at Lee Abbey – meals and accomodation included.
- Decide your next step. Leave with clarity about applying, placements and timings.

Do I need to apply before I visit?
If you are considering joining SWYM, we encourage you to apply before your visit so we can arrange an informal interview during your visit – but if you’re not ready to apply, you’re still very welcome to come and see us in action first!
Where is the Open Day held?
Lee Abbey, Lynton EX35 6JJ, on the stunning North Devon coast.
Is food and accommodation included?
Yes. Meals and one night’s accommodation are provided so you can fully experience the conference atmosphere.
I don’t drive, can I still come?
We can offer return transport from Tiverton Parkway Railway Station to Lee Abbey. Please let us know when you book so that we can advise on timings.
