Project History

We are an independent evangelical church led by a team of elders and committed to every member ministries.

Structure & Vision

Our Mission is to

WELCOME people into the family of God where we

BELONG together as one another people and

GROW in our relationship with Jesus and

SERVE in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We want to strengthen our links with the local community and primay school by offering weekly activities and clubs.

Location

The church (which was planted over 100 years ago), owns and occupies a two storey property on an ordinary shopping street, about a mile from the city centre, and half a mile from the M4 Brynglas tunnels. The neighbourhood comprises mostly modest terraced houses, with modest incomes and a range of cultural backgrounds.

Current Ministry

Over the last two years we have revised our focus following a Church Health Check with the Church Revitalisation Project linked to Counties, GLO and Church Growth Trust. We have a thriving weekly coffee morning which attracts local adults, some of whom have come to faith in recent times. Every Sunday morning we have a communion service with open worship. This is followed by coffee and Family Church with systematic Bible teaching and evangelism. We provide a Junior Church programme for youngsters and a monthly Cafe Church format.

Every break in school terms, we have developed a weekly Open House for children to attand with parents, for a two hour session of games and activities,
