Description
Introduction: We are excited to be building a team of youth and children’s work specialists to work within the North Wilts Mission Area. We believe this innovative project will have lessons for the national church in rural areas.
There is already a great deal already going on in our six benefices which will help you to develop your skills: Abbey Skate, Wild Church, Toddler Groups, Messy Church, Christian Unions, Lifepath to name a few. But we know you have the skills to begin new projects. We long to have the capacity to reach out to all our children and young people – could you be part of our team?
Description: Working as a team with our Youth Mission Enabler and Dynamo, the youth mission arm of our steering group, you will progress work already begun, use your initiative to develop new work and encourage the involvement of volunteers of all ages in the mission of our churches.
Essential Criteria
You must have a lively Christian faith, wanting to share the gospel
You will be able to work as part of a team
Have a heart for young people and be able to communicate well with them
Be a good listener, patient and understanding
Be creative and enthusiastic
Committed to the well being of everyone involved in our project
Preferred Criteria
Car owner and driver – we are in a large rural area with little public transport.

Living at home or with one of our host families in North Wiltshire

Monday – Cluster and afterschool club
Tuesday – School assemblies, lunchtime and afterschool clubs
Wednesday – Parent and Toddler Group, lunchtime and afterschool clubs
Thursday – Group prayer meeting, supervision, evening meeting
Friday – Day off
Saturday – Day off every other week otherwise Children’s Groups, Messy Church
Sunday Morning Worship, Junior Church, Wild Church, Messy Church
Study and preparation to be fitted around your timetabled commitments within the group.
